This is my second (and last) year of eligibility for the Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
People who attended Anticipation last year, or who are attending Aussiecon this year, or who buy a "supporting membership" in Aussiecon, are eligible to nominate writers for that award. You can nominate up to five (5) people.
I humbly ask for your nomination vote.
Although I don’t seriously contemplate winning the award itself, I do think it would be nifty (and a career booster) to appear on the final ballot. Last year, one needed only 31 votes to get on that ballot.
My bibliography’s on the Writertopia site: www.writertopia.com/profiles/KennethSchneyer
Because of how the rules work, my first year of eligibility was based on a 2008 story ("Calibration") that nearly no one read, because it was in a journal (Nature Physics) that costs $35/issue and contains mostly equations.
This year is different, but still, my three most prominent sales occurred during the last four months, and no more than one of them will appear in print before the nominations close. So, if you’d like to get a look at my bona fides, I can send you private copies of some of the upcoming stories.
If you’re already an eligible voter, the online nomination ballot, which must be completed by March 13, is here:

If you’d like to buy a supporting membership to be eligible to vote, the membership signup, which must be completed by January 31, is here:

I’ll admit I’m a little embarrassed to be asking so publicly, but how do people know you’re interested if you don’t tell them?
